    Notes and Observations:

    The laptop will boot and use the external monitor or the LCD, but does not
    switch to only the LCD or to external monitor with the FN key.

    On installation RedHat loads the SMP version of the kernel, this causes the
    system to appear to hang at “Initializing Hardware… Storage network” message
    in the boot process, but after a wait of about 20 min it will complete the boot
    process, the corrective action is to hit the enter key when the linux loading
    message comes up and select the non-SMP version (usually the second choice on the menu).

    RedHat sees the wireless card as eth1 but does not function.
